The price source uses Cassia marginata. For the South Asian plant attributed to Roxburgh, Kew and GRIN place that name under the accepted Cassia roxburghii. This Fabaceae tree is native to southern India and Sri Lanka and is associated with seasonally dry tropical conditions.
Sowing guide
- Soak the hard seeds in room-temperature water before sowing.
- If a seed does not swell, lightly abrade one small area of the coat without reaching the embryo.
- Sow in a warm, free-draining mix and cover to about one seed thickness.
- Keep evenly moist with good ventilation; do not leave the pot standing in water.
