Origin and History:
Grown in the fertile lands of Brazil, Shag Brazilia 7 has been cultivated for generations by local farmers who value its strength and reliability. This variety embodies the spirit of South American tobacco culture, celebrated for its rich flavor and ability to thrive in tropical climates. Its distinctive profile has made it a popular choice for both traditional use and blending in high-quality tobacco products.
Characteristics of Shag Brazilia 7 Tobacco:
• Plant Structure: A tall, vigorous plant reaching up to 1.5 meters, with broad, oval-shaped leaves and sturdy stems. Its robust structure supports high yields even in challenging growing conditions.
• Leaf Quality: Large, vibrant green leaves that cure to a dark, mahogany-brown color. These leaves are rich in nicotine, delivering a potent yet smooth tobacco experience.
• Flavor Profile: Shag Brazilia 7 offers a deep, smoky flavor with hints of cocoa and roasted nuts. The bold taste is balanced by a slight sweetness, making it ideal for traditional smoking or blending with milder tobaccos.
• Climate Adaptability: Thrives in warm, tropical, and subtropical climates. Its natural resistance to pests and diseases ensures a reliable harvest even in humid conditions.
Cultivation Process:
1. Seed Germination: Start seeds indoors 6–8 weeks before the last frost. Sow seeds on the surface of the soil without covering, as they require light to germinate.
2. Soil Requirements: Plant in well-drained, nutrient-rich soil with a slightly acidic to neutral pH (6.0–7.0). Enrich the soil with compost or organic matter for optimal growth.
3. Sunlight and Watering: Provide full sun exposure and regular watering to maintain moist soil. Avoid overwatering, as this can harm the roots.
4. Harvesting and Curing: Harvest leaves individually as they ripen, beginning with the lower leaves. Cure in a shaded, well-ventilated space to bring out the rich flavors and aroma unique to Shag Brazilia 7.
