About this seed
Mandjurka Tobacco Seeds (Nicotiana tabacum)
General Description:
Mandjurka is a traditional Eastern European tobacco variety known for its rich aroma and smooth, slightly sweet flavor. This air-cured variety is highly valued for its excellent burning properties and is commonly used in premium cigarette and pipe tobacco blends.
Plant Characteristics:
Mandjurka grows up to 4–5 feet (1.2–1.5 meters) tall, producing broad, slightly crinkled leaves that cure to a deep golden-brown hue. The leaves are rich in natural oils, making them ideal for air-curing, which enhances their distinctive aroma. The plant produces delicate pink flowers and thrives in temperate climates with well-drained soil.
Taste and Benefits:
This variety offers a smooth, slightly sweet flavor with earthy and nutty undertones. Its moderate nicotine content and excellent burning properties make it ideal for crafting premium cigarette and pipe tobacco blends, providing a satisfying smoking experience.
Cultivation Recommendations:
Sow seeds indoors 6–8 weeks before the last frost. Lightly press seeds onto the soil surface, as they require light for germination. Maintain a temperature of 75°F (24°C) and keep the soil moist. Germination occurs within 7–14 days. Transplant outdoors after the last frost, spacing plants 2–3 feet apart. Mandjurka thrives in full sun and well-drained, fertile soil. Regular watering and occasional fertilization promote healthy growth. Harvest leaves as they mature from the bottom up and air-cure them in a shaded, well-ventilated area for 4–6 weeks.
Uses and Benefits:
Ideal for blending in premium cigarette and pipe tobacco, Mandjurka is prized for its aromatic, slightly sweet profile and smooth smoke.

Each packet contains premium-quality Mandjurka tobacco seeds, carefully selected for high germination and rich aroma.
