Tobacco Seeds – Oriental (OR) (Premium Sun-Cured Variety)
The Oriental (OR) is a distinguished Nicotiana tabacum variety, celebrated for its small, aromatic leaves and significant role in cigarette production. Originating in the Mediterranean region, this variety has been a cornerstone in tobacco cultivation, offering a mild flavor profile and excellent blending capabilities.
Description and Characteristics:
• Plant Structure: Oriental (OR) plants exhibit a robust, upright growth habit, reaching heights of approximately 3 to 4 feet. The plant features small, slightly puckered leaves that are ideal for sun curing.
• Leaf Quality: The leaves are light green during growth and cure to a rich, golden-brown color. They possess a smooth texture and are known for their excellent burning properties, contributing to a mild and pleasant smoking experience.
• Flavor Profile: Oriental (OR) offers a mild, nutty flavor with subtle sweetness, making it perfect for blending or standalone use.
• Adaptability: This variety is adaptable to various climates and demonstrates consistent performance with proper care.
Cultivation Guidelines:
1. Seed Germination: Start seeds indoors 6–8 weeks before the last frost. Press seeds lightly onto the soil surface without covering, as they require light for germination.

3. Sunlight and Watering: Provide full sunlight and consistent watering to keep the soil moist but not waterlogged.
4. Harvesting and Curing: Harvest leaves individually as they mature, starting from the lower ones. Sun cure in a shaded, well-ventilated area to preserve the mild flavor and aroma characteristic of Oriental (OR).
