Callistemon viminalis is the familiar horticultural synonym on the source list; Plants of the World Online places it under the accepted name Melaleuca viminalis. This Australian member of the Myrtaceae family is recognised by narrow leaves, arching growth and cylindrical clusters of conspicuous red stamens.
Sowing guide
- Use a clean tray filled with a fine, free-draining seed medium.
- Distribute the dust-like seeds thinly over the surface and do not bury them deeply.
