Red Rajma Bean Seeds — Phaseolus vulgaris

Choose a packet of 10 or 30 seeds of Phaseolus vulgaris, the cultivated common bean. This lot is sold as red rajma. Seed colour describes the offered lot; vine habit, maturity, pod set and harvested seed appearance can vary with genetics and local conditions. Seeds are supplied for planting; no plants are included.

Sowing

Sow directly after frost danger has passed and the soil is reliably warm. Choose a sunny, well-drained bed and place seeds about 2–4 cm deep. Space them for light and airflow, water after sowing and keep the soil evenly moist during establishment without saturation. Avoid cold, compacted or persistently wet ground. Provide support if the emerging plants show a climbing habit.

Care

Keep rows free from competing weeds and water during dry periods, especially around flowering and early pod development. Avoid handling wet foliage unnecessarily. Temperature and season length influence flowering and maturity, so no fixed harvest date or yield is promised.

Storage

Keep unused sowing seed labelled, sealed, cool, dry and dark, protected from humidity, heat and storage pests.
